HabitatNear woods or shrubby areas (Layberry).
Larval FoodplantsGrasses including Orchard Grass (
Dactylis glomerata) and Kentucky Blue Grass (
Poa pratensis).
Similar Species in Nova ScotiaNone.
NotesFerguson listed only one occurrence of this species in Nova Scotia. In recent years they are being seen more often in all three Maritime Provinces; a range expansion appears to be underway.
