Very rare. The "General Status Ranks of Wild Species in Nova Scotia" list this species' status as Red: At risk or maybe at risk.

Flight Period
Very few records. To date, there are 3 records in Nova Scotia for the Maritimes Butterfly Atlas.

Superficially similar to all of our Elfins, especially to Eastern Pine Elfin and Hoary Elfin.
